Command: Ready to draw

THE PROBLEM

Videos don’t make you draw.

CAD Space is 2D CAD practice in your browser: 12 free lessons, a drawing board, click-through practice. Type L, C, REC. Pro $12/mo extra work lessons. Not AutoCAD.

A video on one tab. A command list on another. A drawing that never gets finished. Practice never starts.

ONE SCREEN

Learn. Draw. Look it up. See progress.

Lessons with examples, a drawing board, click-through practice, and a command list — together.

HOW IT WORKS

Three steps from a blank page to extra lessons.

  1. 01

    Open a lesson

A clear goal, steps, and a finished drawing — so you know what “done” looks like.

  2. 02

    Draw it yourself

Type L for line, C for circle, REC for rectangle. Your hands learn the shortcuts.

  3. 03

Add extra lessons when you need them

Linked drawings, print settings, part fits, building views — still on the same screen.

WHY PRO

Learn the basics for free. Add extra lessons only when class or work needs them.

  • Pro Drafting

Practice inserting other drawings (Xrefs) and checking print settings before you print.

  • Mechanical 2D

Practice fits and tolerances with real notes on the part — not a vague “make it tight.”

  • Architecture

Practice renovation layers and side views of a building so the file stays organized.

PRICING

From scattered videos to one place to practice.

Amounts in USD (≈ ₱61.23 / $1). Pay Pro by RCBC or Metrobank InstaPay — I review the receipt. Or share CAD Space for a short trial. Yearly saves ~30%. No card for Foundations.

FROM → CAD SPACE

You don’t need expensive CAD software just to practice LINE.

The usual path is paid software, many videos, and a course that never makes you type a command. CAD Space is the practice those paths skip.

Pro is $12/mo or $99/year — extra work lessons on this same screen, not a second CAD program to learn.

FAQ

Common questions

What is CAD Space?

CAD Space is a place in your browser to practice 2D CAD: short lessons with finished examples, a drawing board, click-through practice, practice projects, and a command list. Everything stays on one screen so you are not jumping between videos and files. It does not replace AutoCAD.

Who is it for?

Students, people changing careers, people already drawing at work, hobby drawers, and teachers. You can start with no CAD experience. Extra lessons for office work are optional (Pro).

How do I sign in?

Continue with Google on Sign in or Sign up. CAD Space does not keep a password. You must open the Terms of Use and the Data Privacy Notice, then tick both boxes — the workspace will not start without that. We record the same tick on your account after Google.

What happens after I create an account?

The first visit shows what you will do in ten minutes (type L, copy a finished drawing), then three short questions so the first hour fits you. Then you open Command Line Fluency. Today stays in the left menu. Accounts that never answered those questions still see this setup once.

Is Foundations really free?

Yes. Foundations is $0: 12 core lessons, six click-through practices, the drawing board, practice projects, progress tracking, and the command list. No credit card to sign up.

What's the difference between Foundations and Pro?

Foundations teaches the basics — lines, layers, snaps, trim, dimensions, layouts, and six click-through practices. Pro adds extra work lessons: linked drawings (Xrefs), print settings, part fits, and building views, plus extra click-through practice.

When should I upgrade to Pro?

When class or a job needs linked drawings, print settings, fits and tolerances, or renovation layers. You can stay on Foundations as long as you want. Lesson completion still saves either way.

Can I try Pro without paying?

Yes. Sign in, then open Earn Pro. Post CAD Space on a public social (X, Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn/class group), paste the https link, and I review it myself — nothing is automatic. Approved shares add 1–3 days of Pro, stacked up to three days remaining. Status on that page is not submitted, in review, needs a clearer link, approved, or not counted.

I already pay for Pro or Team. Should I still share?

You can. Approved shares still count on Earn Pro. They do not replace a paid Pro or Team plan, and they do not add extra trial days on top of a live paid subscription.

What happens when a Pro trial ends?

The account stays. You keep Foundations lessons, saved lesson progress, and the drawing board. Pro rooms show the paywall again until you share for another short trial or send a wallet payment from Pay. Account shows remaining time while a trial or paid period is live.

How much does Pro cost?

Pro is $12/month USD, or $99/year (about 30% off). You send that amount to Kurt Axcel’s RCBC or Metrobank InstaPay QR on Pay with a unique CAD- reference. Approximate PHP is shown. There is no card form on CAD Space. I open the receipt myself — Pro does not unlock from the form. Prefer not to pay yet? Share CAD Space on Earn Pro for a 1–3 day trial. Team and classroom pricing is available on request.

Can I cancel Pro anytime?

Yes. Email support if you need a paid period ended early. Your Foundations progress and account stay — you lose Pro lessons when the paid dates run out, or sooner if we close the grant.

Why did CAD Space sign me out?

A signed-in workspace warns after about eight minutes idle and signs out at ten minutes. Sign back in with the same Google account. Lesson completion stays on the account. Drawings on the board stay in this browser until you clear site data.

Does CAD Space replace AutoCAD?

No. It is practice in the browser so you can learn commands and habits. It is not a full CAD program for delivering a job. What you learn here can transfer to AutoCAD, BricsCAD, and similar tools.

What can I do on the drawing board?

Draw in 2D with typed shortcuts (L for line, C for circle, REC for rectangle, and more), layers, snaps, and zoom. You can put an example drawing underneath. Focus mode fills the screen. Drawings stay in this browser (not the cloud) — clearing site data clears the board.

What is click-through practice?

Short screens where you click snaps, freeze layers, stretch dimensions, or preview print settings — so you feel the habit before repeating it on the drawing board. The free plan includes six; Pro adds linked-drawing and print-setting boards.

How do lessons work?

Each lesson has a goal, step-by-step instructions, a finished example, and (for many lessons) click-through practice plus the drawing board. Mark lessons complete as you go; that list syncs when you are signed in.

What are practice projects?

Drawing jobs with checkable tasks — apartment plan, bracket plate, sheet handoff, kitchen reno, and more. Each task links to the matching lesson so you know what to practice next.

Does my progress save?

Lesson completion saves to your account, so you can continue on another computer after you sign in. Drawings on the board save only in this browser. Clearing site data does not delete the account.

Are there example drawings to practice from?

Yes. Reference → Example plates lists foundation, layout, and coordination PDFs. Sign in to open each sheet, practice on the drawing board, then use the linked lesson for commands.

Can I use CAD Space on my phone?

Phones and tablets can read lessons, browse tracks, and use the command list. The drawing board and click-through practice need a laptop or desktop — keyboard commands and wheel zoom are built for that.

What do I need to get started?

A modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Brave) on a laptop or desktop. Nothing to install. A mouse with a scroll wheel helps on the drawing board.

Is there a team or classroom plan?

Yes — Classroom / Firm pricing starts around $8/seat/month with volume options. Shared instructor views and assign mode are on the roadmap. Email hello… for a quote.

Where are the terms and the privacy notice?

Read the Terms of Use and the Data Privacy Notice (RA 10173, Philippines). Each section starts with an “In short” line, then the detail. You must tick that you have read and understood both before Google, and again on your account before the workspace. Continuing silently is not enough.

How do I get help or report a problem?

Signed in, open Feedback in the left menu — threads there go straight to Kurt and the reply shows on the same page. Only you and Kurt can read them. Or email hello… for support, billing, unwanted conduct, or a policy concern. Notices go to the Google address on the account. Wallet transfers are reviewed on the Pay page — there is no card processor on CAD Space.
